Mandara Spa BGC

Walking in the Mandara Spa in BGC, the first thing to notice is that the place is absolutely tiny. From what I saw, there are maybe 5 beds which are properly divided by wood and curtains. Prices here are on the low high end, and you would understand why, because of the location, in BGC and it also has a very top notch feel. You are immediately transported to a place of relaxation upon entering albeit having a claustrophobic feel. This spa does have a couple's room which is about the size of a normal spa room with 2 beds. They do offer a bunch of different types of massage. I opted to go for the Mandara Signature Massage, while my wife had the Hilot. The Mandara signature massage is nothing more than a combination massage with a couple of times when the masseuse would stand on my back. It was good but not great. Now the Hilot massage which is only done by Mang Robert as it happened seemed excruciating, as my wife would cry with the techniques but she did say that it was all good. It is certainly a more extreme type of massage. Afterwards though is when she did see a great improvement in how she felt. In her words "Gumaan yung mundo ko" (like a great weight has been lifted from me) For my part, the spa is nice but their signature massage is really not worth it, there are other more affordable options, but the Hilot is worth a try.
